Mother of a 12 Year Old

I've heard it a thousand times, "Where has the time gone?"  I am definitely feeling that right now.  Today is my son Joe's twelfth birthday.  So... it is only fitting to have a walk down memory lane, so to speak.
When Joe was born. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz.
He was a very happy baby.
Like most kids, he loved cookies,
and puppies,
and baking.
Sometimes he even liked dressing up.
No matter what, he was always a cool dude.
Joe liked to have adventures in the park,
and he was always our Super-Joe.
As Joe grew, he received great Christmas presents,
birthday presents,
and he looked forward to having his own room.
Joe liked to get dressed up once in awhile,
and he liked to relax on a beach once in awhile.
And he always had a smile.
Joe loved to travel,
and to do crafty projects.
Sometimes, he didn't even mind fishing!
Joe was great at surprising you...
sometimes with his daring...
sometimes with his cooking abilities.
One thing is for sure...
as he grows older I hope he continues to love lots of things,
keeps trying new ones,
keeps smiling,
keeps surprising us,
and has a wonderful birthday and an excellent year!
Happy 12th Birthday Joe!
Love, Mom.
